With his wide range of phenomenal production skills, New Jersey based musician DJ BLEVY breaks boundaries between different music genres, such as Hip-hop and EDM. The musician has already made fourteen songs, including the ones that have been placed on his first solo EP – „The Unforgotten”. The EP consists of six songs that are marked by EDM energy and Hip-hop freedom. All tracks are very different from one another, but carefully listened, they create a beautiful and poignant story. <\/span><\/p>\n

The EP starts with a song that features fast-paced synth melody, pulsating bass parts and an eternal vocal sample. While listening to this one, you can feel like you are on an extremely fast ride through the unknown. The track\u2019s title – „We\u2019re Going” – may suggest that the journey never ends\u2026 <\/span><\/p>\n

In the next song called  <\/span>„Down Down” you will definitely notice some Hip-hop influence, especially in the drum parts that interestingly change throughout the track. The piece has a very mysterious melody and an interesting trance feeling.<\/p>\n

„Where Did You Go” is the third song on the EP. This piece gives you a sensation of looking for someone or even chasing them. You can also experience anxiety and fear accompanying a person who is on the verge of losing their love.<\/p>\n

\"\" <\/span>The fourth track seems to be the most upbeat one out of all the songs that have been placed on the EP. This piece is an interesting contrast to what a listener could hear in the previous work. The track itself is quite fast, but you can tell that the main melody slows it down and makes everything seem lighter, more relaxed. The song\u2019s title – „You Know What You Want” – may imply that somebody have resigned themselves to what they used to hate the most.<\/p>\n

The next piece included on the EP is called „Don\u2019t Forget Me”. Through its cheerful mood, the song may try to show all the good memories that the main characters of the story shared with each other.<\/p>\n

The most touching track comes last. The song hits hard just at the beginning – clear and strong kick sound, eternal bass, vicious synth melody and only one sentence that says it all – „forget about me” . That line is also the title of the piece. „Forget About Me” brutally pulls you out of all the dreams that you may have had after listening to the songs preceding it. <\/span><\/p>\n

To sum up, the tracks that are included on „The Unforgotten”<\/a>  <\/span>never feel similar to one another. Nevertheless, all the pieces feature some elements, such as the energy and the creatively produced and meaningful vocal samples, that make them work perfectly as a whole. <\/span><\/p>
